British National Championships 2010
The 2010 BTCB National Championships have been announced and will be held on Saturday 30th to Sunday 31st January 2010 in Manchester. More details to follow.
2009 British International Taekwondo Championships
The 2009 British International Taekwondo Championships gave athletes from over 30 national teams competing the chance to gain vital match practice with the new electronic scoring system which will be in use in October’s World Championships. The championships were held at the SportCity Tennis Centre in Manchester, which in our opinon affords a much better view for spectators than the Velodrome and from a spectator point of view the competition was a complete success. The presence of the Korean Professional league fighters was, for us, the highlight although one fighter who did stand out was Eryk Rodzik of the Polish National team who had to settle for the Silver medal following a very close match against Han of Korea who took everything Rodzic had to throw at him. There were also good wins for Sarah Stevenson, Bianca Walkden and Michael Harvey of Great Britain who can all reflect on a successful championship prior to the World Taekwondo championships in October.
